Jazz Vocal Workshop (Afro Blue, HU Jazz Singers, SAASy)

Afro Blue 2020

The Jazz Vocal Workshop was conceived by Professor Connaitre Miller.  It has grown to encompass three distinct jazz voice ensembles:

Afro Blue - Howard's premier jazz vocal ensemble. See www.afrobluehu.com.
    Connaitre Miller, Director

HU Jazz Singers -  a mixed-voice ensemble open to all on campus.
     Taylor Young, Director

SAASy -  a select ensemble of female voices.
Jessica Boykin-Settles, Director

Membership in Jazz Vocal Workshop ensembles is open to all Howard University students. Auditions are held at the discretion of the director, usually at the beginning of each semester. If you are interested in auditioning, please contact Connaitre Miller at ConMiller@Howard.edu.
